Repair & Replace Sensors

Sensors are installed in garage doors for the safety and security of the garage doors and car.

The main purpose of these sensors is to stop the door and avoid it from getting closed in case of any obstacle.

But sometimes there is a need to repair and replace sensors of the garage door.

• The garage door will not close

The first thing which you will notice once your garage door sensor stops working is that the door will not close. These sensors react when there is an obstacle between them so you will easily be able to recognize the garage door sensor that is not working.

• The light will start blinking or go out

This point is for the photo-eyes sensors as they have two lights on them which are green and red, If the sensor is not working properly, then one of the lights will go out or blink. 

• The lens of the sensor will become dirty and it will not send any signal to close the door

Sometimes, when the garage door is left open for a long time, the dust accumulates on the lenses of the sensor. When this happens, it will stop sending signals to close the door. 

• Sensor lights will go off

If there is no light on the sensor, then it is obvious that the sensor is having some problems as there is always one light illuminated when the sensor is switched on.
